“My experience with the GHG Scholarship from McHugh & Shaw allowed me to bridge my knowledge and skills in environmental sciences and accounting. My university studies taught me key assurance principles that all auditors need, such as independence, objectivity, and professional scepticism, which I also found necessary in roles in sustainability assurance and reporting. The GHG scholarship provided me with a unique experience that exposed me to sustainability and opened possibilities for future careers as I near graduation by the end of 2026.
I strongly encourage anyone with a passion for learning and a desire to grow beyond their current studies to consider applying for the GHG scholarship. Sustainability has no prerequisites; you need a genuine interest in making a difference.
